    If possible start engine and remove fuel supply - it will drain fuel and problem solved.
    Most if not all carbs can be drained - small screw on the bottom of each :)

    You should not store carbs...

    Remember to secure rain cover on your panniers - I've lost one when rushing to catch ferry in rain :)

    I had mine wet sanded then tooth paste - great result but still, lots of work.

    It seems to be a bit better after re-checking valve clearance. One of inlets was too tight. Maybe it was too cold when I done it first time?!?

    Hello everyone,

    Happens only on cold (without choke), and when idle revs.
    Problem goes away when warm or on higher revs....

    I have done mine 2 weeks ago. All exit valves were too tight. 28k
    Took me around 3h (first time job) to complete and re-used old gasket, with a bit of silicone.

    I run my bike last winter at least every other week - left it running for 20-30 min and switch off. Next time -5 and snow and bike started just like 2 weeks ago. (bit longer with choke :)) min...

    I will say it is better to do so. Yes it is expensive, but maybe better of finding someone and spending nice cold Sunday in the garage and DIY!!!.
    They advise it for a reason, what is next check due...

    You can also look at the lights. If battery is too low to start it should dim the lights while stationary. Apply all lights and while watching main light press the brake - if it dims it mean no good....

    I love FireFox, as it comes with plenty of good things.
    Chrome is quicker, but less secure.
    IE sucks :) sorry but only version 9 does kind of a good job.

    For IE 8 go to tools/internet options...

    Horrible accident, but when you do 120 mph anything can happen - we never want to even think of worst end, but this is a risk when pushing our bikes to the limits.

    I cannot be sure, but you should spent not more than £2k and have engine totally rebuild = new

    Fan have to suck in the air through radiator. (to improve the air flow)

    Take thermostat out put it in to a pan with water and see if this is opening - should have 2 stages little gap at around 60...

    Got an estimate of full repair on genuine Suzuki parts

    £4300

    I can't believe it :o :o :o

    Only downside is to find rear wheel - fronts are easily accessible.

    Bike is just behind a corner in a local bike garage.
    Still waiting for estimate.

    Story is that when police came in the Mercedes driver was long gone - so I am a bit fu... and have to DIY my bike...

    I have found Hazard test very easy, but I was nearly shi..... my pants at the exam 8-) ;)

    After brilliant ride on Wednesday I had a less pleasurable ride back home.

    Silver Mercedes puls out from gas station - it was dark - I go around it and hit dark kerb on the reservation...
