Terrible news :-( R.I.P Scott
About time aswell, then you need to get a bike thats just a bit better then neil's :)
The battery is brand new. I'm dreading the fact that it might be the ancient digital ignitor!
It still wouldnt start when i got home yesterday, so I eliminated the damp as a cause. However, it did respond to a bump start this time and then would start under it's own power, im confused :'(
It is garaged and got very wet on saturday, but fired up perfectly yesterday. :-?
No coughing at all, just the starter motor. Even a bumpstart had no effect bar waking the neighbors when it backfired ::)
Typical, I get the Genesis out for it's 2nd commute to work since it's ressurection, and the goshdarn thing wouldn't start. I know it used to have similar problems when trying to start in cold damp...
After 12 months of pain, heartache and pulling out of hair I am reliving my glory days, the Genesis has returned. Dont forget to wave when you see me broken down at the roadside :)
Cheers all, im technically not a newbie, I've been following you all from pub to pub for the last 2 years. I'm just a technophobe and hate computers.
Finally pulled my finger out and joined the party.
I'm Choc/Mike from chippenham and ride both an '02 speed triple 955i and an '89 FZR600 Genesis. :)
