I had heard that Nooj did a great job but I wasn't expecting the transformation he performed on my bike today. Bar the odd bit of corrosion it looks like it did when I got it from the showroom. Well...

I 'met' a police van with a speed camera in it as I came into Frome today. There is a possibility I was doing more than 30 ( ;) and I wondered whether these cameras can detect bikes given that the...
I researched this a few months ago. Got boring very quickly! Several people mentioned Me Sheen but there were some negatives - can't remember what they were now - possibly the chance of slowly...
Rear wheel is now in Phils capable hands! Cheers All.
Thanks all. I will follow your advice.
Cheers Jon. Yes, it is a spoked wheel. Hopefully it is just the tyre then. I'll get it checked out.
I bought a DRZ400 on ebay recently. A bit of a gamble as I know nothing about mechanics. It seems to run fine apart from when you go above about 60 it feels a bit wobbly. I lifted the back up with a...
Sounds like you had a bad experience. In his defence though, I had a tyre fitted there recently, after recommendation from someone else on the forum, and I was impressed by his attention to detail....
I'm giving it a miss tonight in view of forecast and footy on the box! Good idea to try and coordinate though. I'll tag along at some point in the next few weeks.
Sounds like a plan. Will keep an eye on this thread.
I'm a Froomie too. I,ve been to the H&C once. I only know a handful of people. It's true they are a very friendly bunch but a lot of people seem to know each other really well and I found it a bit...
Only been riding a year but regularly commute to Cardiff on M4 (saves £6 on the bridge!). I agree with all previous advice and would add the following: if windy, you can get sudden 'gusts' by slip...
Can't help with a bike I'm afraid Joe but good luck with the retake and when you pass, feel free to get in touch - I live in Frome and only passed my test a year ago, so generally up for an evening...
Both signed
I'll be there. Cheers
I'd be interested in having my bike 'puncture-safed' - is that something Nooj could do away from his workshop?
Thanks for the advice everyone. Sounds like I can get away with leaving it for a while and just doing the oil change. I'm not a competent mechanic - oil change is about my limit. So when I get the...
Honda have quoted me £350 plus parts to do the 8000 mile service on my 2008 Transalp. The service includes a check on valve clearances. I would like to have the Honda stamp in the book but it seems...
As a newbie I'm probably not really qualified to post on this but here's my two penneth anyway. My view is if it aint broke don't fix it. It sounds as if the current system has worked well for some...
I did the direct access recently and didn't have to do anything with my licence apart from present it to the people I did the CBT with. Had to do the theory test first though.
All very helpful. Have ordered A Twist of the Wrist. Cheers guys
