From tomorrow 1st Oct you can chuck your tax disc and holder away

From 1 October 2014, the paper tax disc will no longer need to be displayed on a vehicle windscreen. If you have a tax disc with any months left to run after this date, then it can be removed from the vehicle windscreen and destroyed.
I was in Fowlers on Saturday.
They had tax disc holders reduced from £12 down to £4.
They'll be selling discounted front numberplates next!
I feel sorry for the tax disc holder manufacturers as they have gone from selling millions to bike riders and car drivers and as from today zero demand.
Probably rebrand them as parking ticket holders or something similar.Quote:
