Hey all,
Planning to spend a weekend putting in some good mileage in Wales in March, been all around north, south, west etc but never spent much time in the middle, anyone have any good spots to see and do and some good roads to head on?
Cheers!

Do not miss the B4574 Ryhaddar to Devils Bridge it is out of this world ... A real gem to ride
If you get the chance, and I know it's in the south but can be on the way to mid Wales, the road from Chepstow to Monmouth is one not to be missed
The A4069, Top Gear Road in West Brecons is good, you get used to the sheep after a bit :-)
Have fun, I love the Welsh Roads.
erm a must for wales................ waterproofs........... lots of waterproofs........:)
Peter, A44 Aberystwyth to Llangurig and then the A470 to Rhayader. Carry on to Builth Wells and onto Abergavenny. Long day, but great roads. I usually come home this route, but on the outward journey I approach Aberystwyth from the south along the coast.
Get a cheap hotel room in Rhayader.
Liverpool House Hotel is fair...basic and cheap with bike parking at the rear..
Spend a couple of days exploring the Élan & Claerwan Valleys..
To much to see and do in a day..you need a weekend.
Luckily our group had good weather for two out of three days.
No finer place to be if the suns out.
Nice cafe just a few metres beyond Devils Bridge and the seafront diner on Aberystwyth seafront is now open again after a refurb..
Llangollen and the aqueduct are a must see. The go over horseshoe pass to finish the day.
