So, you can go on a factory tour at Hinckley :) anyone done this? I quite fancy it, seems like it may be a bit of a ways out for a ride out, but would certainly like to go at some point.

I'd be up for a nose about :)
We have always planned on going but never got round to arranging it.
Me too.
I gather that cameras are banned
It's only 90 from Chipnum. Could stop at the arboretum for refreshments (almost perzactly half way).
Return to Ciren for coffee and farewells.
i do tend to expand the travel time for eg: appx 2hr 30mins to triumph plus appx 30mins for splash n dash both ways, tour appx 90 mins+parking up so roughly 2 hours there - 8 ish hours total. depending on the route !
being me, looked via A429-A5-A47 but will be a bit of a white line run, there's gonna be alternative routes that someone knows
obviously not gonna be til next year i would assume, if we can get concrete numbers may be worth pre booking the tickets (might even get a discount)
No discounts - it's VERY popular. Guided tour is £18 p.p. Problem will be all getting into the same group. MUST be booked and pre-paid online.
The museum and exhibition centre (on 2 floors) is free with no need to book.
One thought is that it could be an off season thing if we had minibus numbers and a willing driver. I imagine it would be £130 - £170 for vehicle and fuel.
Another thought is that its not too far from Matlock bath, but if you overnighted around there after a ride up and over the dales would you want to spend a couple of hours in the museum, or be out riding....
An interesting day out..
