Not sure if the bodyework would of been totally saved. Ever seen a Honda bounce off a paddock stand. Insurance excess was low and no effect to my no claims.

I agree must get a set for my first track day this season. :'(

Just replaced my front\rear Diablos, with BT014's don't feel so neutral, mind only done 120 miles on them at the weekend.

24-04-06, 11:40 AM
I have just sold a Honda, but I can't knock them!

GixerBoy
24-04-06, 11:42 AM
Step down as far as i'm concerned mate! Have always run Diablos on the road, top tyre! Saying that, have just changed to the new Metz M3 as its supposed to have track day grip with road tyre mileage........We will see!
Pirelli own Metz so their tyres are now very similar so not to much of a change.
But don't worry OF,your still be able to get your knee down with the BT's,no probs!! ;)

onfire23
24-04-06, 11:55 AM
Now that is what happens when u listen to your big broth, only cause his 2004 blade came with BT's ...road on them for years... Will have to beat him with his own BattleAxe Lol!

Sure they will do fine :-/

Anyone bumped into that Red Aprillia 1000 rider Highworth > fairly regular basis??

GixerBoy
24-04-06, 12:13 PM
Might be Rex The Sprocket as he's from Fairford, don't know if he comes into Swindon via Highworth tho.........

onfire23
24-04-06, 12:27 PM
My mate R1 Ray, recently changed his 2003 R1 to the Yellow centenary 06 model. I had to crack up! he said I was going around lechlade roundabout towards burford and a Red Aprillia came under neath me. I said that will because he had his knee down. Lol!

M8 did mention some sort of grinding noise, could be his new pistons binding in.

Think it shook my mate up a little

Could be me soon with the right tuition?

GixerBoy
24-04-06, 12:30 PM
Could be dude! That could of been Rex,he's a bit of a track day demon! :D

onfire23
24-04-06, 12:38 PM
Yep hes definatly got the track style last time I seen him.. Bumped into a chap last yr gixer 600, hes done quite a few track days.. he said it certainly teaches you a few tricks...
Yep same Highworth lechlade burford bilbury brinkworth>

24-04-06, 12:43 PM

NS..paint work is very bad on the suzy..but the power delivery and gixxer fame make up for it imo:D
Bt014's a top tyre, have no probs with em, especially for road riding, will soon find out what they are like on the track:)

But not all make's/model's of tyre suit each and every bike, its finiding one which suits your bike and riding style:)

Hi Rex if that really was you couple weeks ago on Red Aprillia I over took whilst overtaking another 7 cars just after Highworth roundabout lechlade direction... had a little problem to keep up? Reckon must have been fckn with me. If it was not you the Aprillia rider was not up to much, hey I am not here to judge. Was good fun even if that aprillia rider was trying to make me feel good..Lol!

God gave me knees, and I pray one-day they will be on the Terra Firmer that includes staying on the bike at the same time.
