I am currently in the process of removing my engine and the main supporting engine bolt which also supports the suspension, I believe, has seized and all I have gained from trying to loosen it is a bent t-bar!!!
I believe this is because it is an aluminium crankcase and a steel bolt.
Does anone have any tips for releasing it.
Thanks
Joe

Give it a real good soaking in WD40, leave it as long as overnight then try it with as long a wrench as possible but be careful not to shear it off. Sometimes it's worth trying to tighten it (clockwise) ever so slightly before releasing it (anti-clockwise). Doesn't always work though.

P.S. I take no responsibility for action which may shear the bolt! ;)

As for b_1_rd but you could also give the head of the bolt a good sharp tap with a 3lb hammer which can help break the corrosion around the thread seal before you try and undo it. Also make sure the wrench is a really good fit otherwise you will round off the bolt and be in more trouble. Good luck!
