Not aware that there is one tbh, though as for minimum dB it'd be at the tester's discretion, if your horn's knackered and barely manages a tweet then it's in your interests to replace it.
What do you have in mind, a truck horn?

In that case, best try not to hit the button outside your own house in the early hours of the morning - it's easily done, especially if wearing thick clothing and gloves.... ::) The novelty of your new bike would wear off your neighbours pretty soon....

Something that powerful might require a relay rather than plugging it directly into your loom.... :-?

i run a pair of twin-tones (cheap car efforts, cost me £4.40!), make sure you use a relay, they draw enough current to roast the horn-switch on most motorcycles.

I find they really draw the attention of other road users who don't look properly - i think they are rated at 130dB.

I run a pair of Stebel horns rated at 139db. They hurt the ears if your too close but wakes up cage drivers a treat. I made up a seperate wiring loom with a relay and wired direct to the battery as they pull 12amps. Cost £40 all in and well worth it,

Bear in mind 1 horn at 130 dbA = 130 dbA
but 2 horns at 130 dbA = only 133dbA

Don't know any legal limits sorry [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

A Stebel Magnum 130db dosen't need a relay its a straight fit but the Steb Nautalis needs one though.
