Exactly! I own two cats, but still, why on earth should a speed limit get reduced because of a cat getting killed?!!? ;D

That was my first thought,wether it be 60 mph or 40 mph,the cat would still have gotten squisshed.
At least it will be slightly safer for the local children now though.

Just think if the vehicle was going faster it would have missed the cat

The other thing the council don’t say is that central government give them more funding to look after a 40mph speed limit than a national speed limit.

This might explain why we have seen so many new 40’s and 50’s over the last few years.
