To be honest there isnt much about for this type of job, as my mate Pete is looking and finding it difficult, he used to drive for BMW but is now looking for a job.

Agency here in Chippenham used to want drivers - since the crunch things have dried up.

My mate who works at Honda has a class 1 is now on the 4 month "rest" - he went looking for a bit of driving work.

Agency owners is actually a mate of his and used to beg him to drive for him at weekends - now he can't offer anything. Ain't got enough to keep his regulars going.

Have another mate who drives car transporters - (good money) - he has been on a 3 day week since last October. No one is buying cars so there are non to shift.

Have a few lorry driver mates on the RD aircooled forum - they all say things are quiet. Some do regular runs - now they do it once a day instead of twice.

Another with a class 1 got laid off just before xmas (last in -first out).

Took him till january to find another job. Drives frozen chickens now. Has to work nights and weekends though.

I used to do a bit of weekend class 1 driving but now it has stopped, I guess the agencies are keeping this work for the regular drivers and not part timers like me.
