Quoted as saying;-"Bannister claimed at his trial that his speed was appropriate for the weather conditions". Well it obviously wasn't then was it mate!

Good, happy to see this, most of the coppers who decide to abuse their powers normaly get away with it.

motorcycle speeding at 122mph no accident 26 weeks in jail, police speeding at 122mph major accident 20 weeks in jail still seems one sided to me?

You forgot to mention the 14 year old pillion.

Not saying your wrong, but all the facts need to be considered and you can't necessarily get them from the press.

It's a fair cop, but why are people suddenly being jailed for going over 100mph :o

Makes me so glad that the only bike I ride on the road these days is my KTM with knobblies on. :-?

Its always has been the case, because it comes under DD & its a Jailable offense under law I guess...

IMHO its wrong in many cases, but then again it is dependent on the individual case i.e. if someone was injured or killed by someone under influence or excessive speed using their Mobile e.t.c. then perhaps its more deserving.
