This is a Brilliant idea & I think they're best placed in strategic places.... 30 - 40 zones and outside schools. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

I think it's great, now we don't have to do target practice and risk breaking toes on car wing mirrors, we'll have these nice soft cardboard cut outs instead!! lol

Paintball targets yipeeee
WTF....so they can spend that silly amount of cash on cardboard cut outs when they could of got a real life bod in its place acyually doing some work????
This is going back to when they started putting cardboard speed cameras up as well.....
Where are the bobbies of old that all the kids were affraid of as they werent too scared to give the kid a clip around the ear and drag him back to his parents telling them to sort him out or he will???

They will probably be entitled to overtime and a pension.
Won't they go a bit limp if it rains (if you know what I mean)

Absolute waste of money imho. Like Igbell said, employ another bobby for that money and give them time to do some speed checks.

Sounds like the force in question needed to spend its budget before the end of the financial year, and came up with this crap!

These cardboard policemen will allow "real" policeman too be deployed to beat the streets. (more than likely to do paperwork)

Second - These cutouts have only to prevent one accident and they will have paid for themselves.

The costs of polices, fire engines and ambulances attending accidents runs into tens of thousands.
