Just listening to a CD by the Pretty Reckless and thought I would start this thread!

I love finding new artists that aren't so well known...there are some real hidden gems out there.

Ok , so Pretty Reckless are my favourite latest find (if you have never heard of them, check out this song...great tune to ride to:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dYeGw-bo430) She's only 17!!

8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

Kaz bought the pretty reckless CD after hearing them on the movie Kick Ass, the movie with the immortal line from a 10 year old girl on a killing spree ... Great album and a great voice for a girl so young too

Love a couple of up and coming bands at Present.
Bunch of guys from Henly called "the gentlemen of distorted sound"
Got a EP out called Bone Idol. Great tunes.
Also a band from Oxford area called the dacoits.
If you see either of these bands advertised, dont delay, go watch em!

The Pretty Reckless are awesome, great album. Apparently she plays someone in something called Gossip Girl on the Telly!?

The Pretty Reckless are good I concur. And you are right ST she was a lead character in the US Gossip Girl!

I have got really into mashup mixes done by Djs in recent time. DJ Called "Dave Remix" and another one who goes by DJ Schmolli are really good (couple of links below to songs).

DJ Schmolli (Tune Length 27:39) (http://soundcloud.com/djschmolli/dj-schmolli-pirate-nation-vol-1)

Dave Remix (Probably the one most of you will like is the "Steisand's Bonkers" Track) (http://soundcloud.com/dave-remix)

This guy is brilliant. Kinda a mix between U2 and Coldplay, but better ;D

Plus, to download the album you suggest your own price. The scrooges out there can put nothing if they like, but it's worth a lot more...

Ooooh Tallulah Rendall is worth a listen too. Saw her at a freebie gig in Marlb a few years back and she was awesome. Really eerie voice...

One of my faves is The Cardiacs. They're been around for years and have a big fan base worldwide, but have never hit the maistream (just as well, I don't think the mainstream could cope with them).

Another who was known in his day, but not so much now (unless you were a freak in the 60's and 70's); Captain Beefheart.
