Just remember, when someone starts complaining about petrol prices, send them our way. With the predicted £1.50 a litre by the summer, we've had a sudden upturn in enquiries... WooHoo! :) :) :)

my bikes not econmical ;D but in all seriousness

when u add up the cost of tax - fuel-general running costs a bike makes more sense

especially if ur commuting around on a 125 doing 80 odd mpg

We've so far managed a best of 150mpg on a YBR running to and from Bristol, averaging 50mph on open roads... :o

Already done it!!!!!

... and she's very happy. From £44 (fuel) per week for a small car to £10 per week for the scooter.

Said it before, but it's an ill wind......

Can't get all my painting kit and ladders on the back of the bike unfortunately. Have to keep going with the van until the Tory taxes put me out of business >:(

I was looking at one of those fire fighting bikes when they were on the news wondering if I could modify one of them into a mini valeting machine.

My late other half used to use a sidecar to move all sorts of stuff around the palce. He never bothered to take a car licence.

I've got a picture of him with another motorbike on the sidecar! :D

Well as a bit of inspiration.

Have done the sums on the scoot and a 125cc maxi scooter loaded with papers and work cr*p, ridden at around 50mph on the open road has managed 96.8 mpg average.

Not bad huh!!!! :D

Get out of you cars..... and on to bikes!!!!

i have no idea what mpg my 750 returns............problem is i have a rist that moves alot .....in the happy direction.

i do 70miles per day if i use mygf's 1.0 micra it currently costs about £40 per week. which is around 50mpg

i think the bike will cost more somehow....even if i stuck crusing @ 70mph will try to prove this wrong
