No to bike parking fees, Monday 7th December 2009

I thought I'd seen a thread about the bike parking fees protest (http://notobikeparkingfees.com/), but if there is, I can't find it - didn't some people here go on the demo in March? Anyway, there's another demo next Monday 7th December 2009, meeting at Ace Café 5pm or Park Lane Underground between 6-6:45pm.

I thought this was just to do with the Borough of Westminster in London.

Westminster was just testing the pilot project, but it's been deemed a success and the final report recommends making it permanent (http://www3.westminster.gov.uk/newcsu/Cabinet%20Member%20Decisions/Former%20Cabinet%20Member%20Portfolios/Environment_and_Transport/2009/31%20-%20Motorcycle%20Charging%20Scheme/Motorcycles%20Cab%20Report%20Final.pdf). The company running the trial is now offering the scheme to other boroughs in London and councils nationwide. Indeed, 12 other London boroughs have already joined and 10 other councils are interested.
