A MOTORCYCLIST died in a collision on the A429 this morning.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash, which took place just after 5am, near the village of Stanton St Quinton.
The road was closed for several hours while a crash investigation team inspected the site and motorway traffic was diverted away from the road.
Wiltshire Police spokesman Sam Edwards said this morning the man who died is not believed to be from the area, but they are not certain at present.
The roads are expected to remain closed until around 11am.
