Hi guys,

I’m trying to renew my insurance at the moment. Currently with Direct choice and my premium has just jumped up by about £500 because I have informed them of a few mods (exhaust, shock and flyscreen) .Can anyone recommend a company who won't rip me of just for having a few mods.

Thanks in advance.

I'm with bennetts with all mods declared this year and didn't get raped for declaring them, so could try them?

All sorted . Went with Ebike ,only £60 more than my original quote without mods from direct choice.

eBike seems pretty good tbh, they're the cheapest i've found and they have good reviews too, the difference between my bike as standard de-restricted and with about 2k worth of mods on is about £20 difference! go figure!

I went with H&R Insurance and they were at least £200 cheaper than anyone else on the comparison website. My quote actually went down a few quid after declaring all mods :)

The excess was high but it was no different to any other quote on the comparison site.

Thumbs up too from me for h&r they have been great for me never had a problem adding mods so far, taken an additional excess cover policy cheaply to adjust for initial high excess

Nick have you added a second bike or just have the one on the policy?

I've tested the water re adding another but the underwriters don't cover the 2 nd as it's a cheap Chinese thing so would be a seperate policy for me

I've tried several and settled on Carole Nash. Never had a problem, all mods are declared and most carry no premium.
