I'm looking to buy myself a new bike.
Had been thinking of a XJR 1300 or the GSX 1400 but now have decided to go for a CB 1300.

From what I've found on the net so far it seems like a great bike.
Just wondering if anyone here has any views on the CB 1300??

iv never owned any of those, but if it were me from what others have told me it would be either the gsx or thr cb, but because i love honda that would be my choice,

Since you have a naked bike for your avator could consider the "B-King" too

I've had an XJR and 2 GSX'S (1 was a yoshi model tho) If I was in the market I'd have the cb1300. Performance, handling, style only shame is the cost

Thx for the replies, good to get some others views on things :)

Wraith The B-King looks fantastic but not practical enough to stick the GF on the back, the naked bike in my avatar is my Zephyr.

Stu I'll be looking for a 2nd hand one, sadly can't afford a brand new one. :-/

Seems that everything is pushing me towards the CB 8-)

**edit**** to say Wow!!! That B-King looks amazing [smiley=cheesy.gif]

B-King is a brute didn't like the ride too much - awesome power - sounds great with 2 bros cans but the tank is friggin huge. I'd still stick with the CB

I have had the XJR1300 and the CB1300 and they are both great bikes.

The XJR (i think) looks cool, handles so so,finish is typical yamaha(iffy) and if you put a full acropovic exhaust system on it sounds awesome and goes like stink(extra 20bhp).

The CB1300 (i think) looks cool if in the white and red colours, handles better than the XJR,finish is typical honda(bloody exellent) and goes like stink as standard.

If i hd to choose then the CB1300 just comes out on top.

Took mine for 2 weeks through france on spain 2 up fully loaded.

Honda all the way... :)

The B-King looks as if it has been in an accident already... :D

I've seen the B-King in the flesh now and don't think it looks as sexy as it's pic

Have changed plans and thinking of a CBF1000.
The GF has a bad back and this is supposed to be more comfy
but it seems the general opinion is a bit of a pipe and slippers bike :-/

not quite pipe and slippers but definitely more of a sit up and beg. I have the 600 and it does go a bit.

I've ridden the GSX1400 and it was a great bike. Fantastic gearbox (compared to mine I think anything would be)
The B-King is a wart on the face of motorcycling. Ugly and if you are tall the tank gets in the way.
The plus side is you can pick up a new one for peanuts as no ones buying them.
If the other half didn't have a bad back I would say try an MT-01 but my wife suffers after about 40 miles on it. Looks like I will be getting a gel seat over this winter
