Hi,

On my RSV, the mirrors are in the wrong place. the problem being is the arms are to short and all you can see is your arms. also you have to bend down and lift an arm. Most people buy the Mirror Extensions but at £50 I think thats a little steep.

NAy ideas on a cheaper alturnative I could use or make?

Here are the ones most people buy. Think Nooj sells or can get them too

You'll find all modern sports bikes suffer this problem.
Mirrors used to sit near the top of the screen where the bike is widest. The extra weight required a screen brace that looked a bit ugly so someone had the bright idea of putting them lower down on the top fairing.
Pro: Looks cool
Con: Mirrors don't work
I don't really notice anymore but it stands to reason that it's got to be safer to be able to see behind without lifting your arms up.

ON the older RSV's or my old ZX9, TLR or even the fireblade, I could see using my mirrors with a little arm pulling in, but on this rsv, the mirrors are the worst i've seen. 2 years I've put up with them but now its just getting on my wick :)

Might have a go at making something my self, need to get some bolt extensions from some place :)

I'd check out one of the owners forums if their is one.

I had exactly the same problem on my old VTR1000 rear view was my arms! I changed them to some R1 mirrors which were a perfect fit (after a recommendation on some American owners site I think) and they were brilliant, gave me perfect rear view and didnt look at all odd.

I think the SW Motech ones are the only option for the gen 2 mirrors. I have these mirrors on my Falco and yes, they look great but aren't that useful as mirrors.

Another reason to buy a Reevu lid (http://www.shinybikesyndrome.co.uk/cms/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&c ategory_id=2&Itemid=46) from me ;)
