Biker down today [Archive] - Wiltshire Bikers

I had to goto Blandford forum earlier today and on the road between compton abbas airfield and Blandford I came across a bike accident :( :( Two police cars in attendance and a couple of other bikers at scene :o

Hope the rider is ok and lets take it easy eh guys & girls :)

Not quite sure what had happened to be honest Dabz but there was a rather large piece of the nearside grass verge taken out :o But in the close vicinity there was one of those Hedge cutting tractors going up & down the road, so May have had a bearing on things :(

hope the biker is Ok, always brings it home how vulnerable we are when you come across an accident. :(

I've heard of a biker fatality today in Hants. It's that time of year again, a lot of newbies on the roads, plus fair weather squids coming out of hibernation and car drivers that have forgotten over the winter that bikes exist. Not a good combination :(

I was on route to poole driving the car and misses. A350 was closed and was closed for some hours. May be related to above fatality. Usually if you close a road, if it was a bike..its a major injury or fatality :(

They wouldn't want to close that main road for such a longtime.

Same on the a417 between faringdon and lechlade on saturday, bike and isuzu trooper involved road shut for ages, about 2 mins walk from my house, very sad news
