You'll be fine, don't sweat it! You're not expected to know everything before you go, if you did, you wouldn't need to do it at all :)

Do you know him?

Yes, top bloke.
There is nothing to be concerned about. It's all perfectly acheivable for anyone willing to take it on board.

Hope it goes well.

Top bloke indeed! I must admit I've been dying to ride with him since I've know him! Guess tomorrow it's my chance :)

I'm not concerned about failing, well, not as such, is just that I know I must have picked up quite a few bad habits that I'm not even aware of, and I just wonder how long it'll take me to get rid of them...Will find out soon, hehe!

Well, that was better than I thought, I'm glad to report! My positioning needs plenty of practice, and just when we thought I'd cracked it, I had a pile of cars in front of me, forgot everything about the line and went off to Macaland to pass them. My instructor later reported, as I beamed; How was that? "I thought you'd lost the plot back there" Which I have to say was spot on! He said that I'm in tune with my baby, that I ride briskly and don't hang about, and that my major issue is positioning. So, if any of you that read this would like to ride in front of me to demonstrate the right line, please HELP!!!

You might find it very helpful to go on the Rospa rideout. You would certainly get a good view of the line that everyone is taking (hopefully broadly consistent). They are the 3rd Saturday of every month. April we are going to Poole.

Just be a little selective about who you follow if you want a demo. We don't usually have any awful riding and generally everyone follow the same lines, but it usually is a mixed ability group.
Your tutor would be an excellent choice to follow.

Temptation of seeing a line of cars too much for you..... :)

Sounds like a fab idea, everyone welcome then? I mean, I don't need to be advanced?

I followed him to get the lines thing, he rides beautifully!

All group members are welcome including associates. I encourage my associates to go. There are some downsides to riding in groups but on the whole I think it's beneficial.
Unfortunately NW Rospa don't allow non-members apart from pillions.

Oh, and session number 2 went well. Apparently I improved quite a bit. Now my main issue is that I get to the right position late. And go over way too many manhole covers and white paint. Went out yesterday to try and suss out this positioning thing, but I swear thinking so much about it makes my brain overheat! I need a brain transplant after riding lately, can't wait till it all becomes second nature and the headaches dissapear...
