We had a good time last weekend. The Ace was busy and full of interesting bikes and people, including Danny, champion of road-kill cooking ;) I must admit to being a little disappointed that there were no talks on this year though.

Special thanks to F650Gal for putting us all up (or is that putting up with us all?), being tour guide and looking after us so well!

Interesting stuff Ro, strange that there were no talks. Did you see Austin Vince or Lois Pryce? Any other well known faces from that end of biking there?

I suppose the big names were Austin Vince and Sam Manicom. Local celebrities Colin and Dee Masters (from Calne) were there, and I recognised lots of people from Ripley. I think the difference this year was that Grant and Susan were away; I'm not sure if they actually organised the speakers last year, but they certainly provided some structure to the event, making sure everyone knew what was going on and making introductions—I didn't see anybody doing that this time.

For the full experience, come to Ripley in June (http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/meetings/UK2011.php)

The Ripley thing sounds great, shame it clashes with the Wales ride-out :'(

The Ripley thing sounds great, shame it clashes with the Wales ride-out :'(Yes, that's the main reason I've not signed up for Wales. But I'm now thinking I could skip Ripley this year (been there, done that :)) and go to the one in Germany in the Autumn—in which case, I could make the Wales trip after all!. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

I'd have thought Horizons Unlimited Mountain Madness (http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/humm/) would also appeal to you!
